About 3D Design Bros — The Small Business Behind CustomKeychain.co

We started 3D Design Bros the same way most small businesses start — with a printer, a dining room table, and a project that turned into something bigger than expected.

Our founders began experimenting with 3D printing as a hobby, making small custom pieces for friends and family. The reaction was immediate: everyone wanted a personalized version of whatever we'd just made. A keychain here. A bag tag for a kid's backpack. A stocking tag for Christmas. Word spread, we set up a shop, and now thousands of orders later, we run CustomKeychain.co out of our studio in Wisconsin.

What makes us different from the big sellers?

We're not a marketplace drop-shipper or an overseas print farm. Every single keychain, bag tag, and stocking tag we sell is printed in-house, on our machines, by us. That means we control the quality at every step — and when something isn't right, we fix it directly without a ticket system or a three-week wait.

We use high-grade PLA plastic across everything we make. PLA isn't just a technical choice — it's why our products hold up. PLA is tougher than the acrylic used by most competitors, holds fine detail better, and doesn't get brittle over time. A keychain you buy from us will still look great in two years. That's not something we can say about a lot of what's out there.

No order minimums, ever.

You should be able to order one keychain for your kid's backpack without paying a setup fee or meeting a case minimum. That's not how small businesses work, and it's not how we work. One keychain or a full team set of 50 — we treat every order the same.

Team and bulk orders are our specialty.

A big part of what we do is helping sports teams, schools, and organizations create personalized keychains for their whole roster. We've made keychains for swim teams, football squads, bowling leagues, police departments, and more.
